This is my favorite brand because it’s a base apple cider vinegar drink, so I can mix other ingredients with it. Plus, it’s organic, affordable, readily available in most super markets and amazon quickly ships it to you if you run out. Additionally, this is my favorite tasting brand among the others I have tried. Because of all these positives, I would have to give this the “best apple cider vinegar brand for weight loss” title.
2 – Viva Naturals Raw Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
This is another favorite of mine, it’s a bit more expensive that Bragg’s, but it allows me to make a different tasting drink all together. To me, it has a sweeter taste, but at the same time, its a bit higher on the acid scale. This brand also allows me to make my own drink, so it plays nice with other ingredients. I keep a bottle just to shake things up and have different tasting apple cider vinegar drinks.
3 – Vim & Vigor Herb Infused Apple Cider Vinegar
This brand is already pre-mixed with a blend of herbs and spiecs so there isn’t much room to make your drink with it. I would recommend this brand if you are planning to drink apple cider vinegar on the road or if you don’t have time to make your own. I give this an A+ as far as taste goes, the herbs give it a tea-acid like taste while getting the benefits of apple cider vinegar.

The biggest weight loss benefit of this vinegar is that it helps regulate glucose levels in your blood. Glucose or “sugar” in basic terms, is what your body uses to convert to calories which are then burned to give you the energy. After you pick one, there really is no wrong way to do it, but I’ll share how I’ve managed to keep the drink down (let’s face it; it won’t win any tasty beverage awards.)
- 8 oz of water (I prefer cold, but it’s your preference)
- 3 tsp organic apple cider vinegar
- 4 tsp apple juice (I use carbonated apple juice)
- 2 tsp fresh honey (or to taste)
Tips on drinking Apple Cider Vinegar
Here are some tips you should consider before you start mixing and drinking apple cider vinegar drinks:
- I don’t recommend you drinking it without a straw due to the fact that apple cider vinegar contains acid which can be aggressive to the enamel on your teeth.
- I wouldn’t drink apple cider vinegar straight because of the same reason.
- Getting creative with mixes is okay, but just keep in mind that many popular beverages you may want to mix it with already contain acid thus creating a super acidic drink.
- I wouldn’t mix it with sports beverages or energy drinks due to their high sugar levels and the fact that they’re just bad for you anyway.
Drinking apple cider vinegar affects people in different ways. I recommend you start drinking it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning and also 20 minutes before dinner to get started. It is okay to consume on average about 10 tablespoons a day which would be around 3-4 of these drinks per day. I would certainly recommend starting slow and see how you feel. Experiment to see what time of the day works best for you. For me, what worked best was first thing in the morning and about 20 minutes before dinner.
One last thing to keep in mind as you start trying apple cider vinegar is that you need to take breaks. Apple cider vinegar tends to deplete the production of iodine when consumed for long periods of time. Iodine is responsible for the making of thyroid hormones which control the body’s metabolism and other important functions. Taking 2 week breaks every 3-4 months will help keep your body from getting used to the vinegar and will help prevent the depletion of iodine.
